Vulnerability reporting tool startup Bird Eats Bug has been acquired by web and mobile testing firm BrowserStack for an undisclosed amount as part of its efforts to strengthen the identification, monitoring, and remediation of security flaws, SiliconAngle reports.

Consolidating Bird Eats Bug's bug reporting solution — which enables automated in-background capturing of technical logs and data-rich vulnerability report generation — into BrowserStack's ecosystem seeks to address ongoing issues in the flaw reporting process, as well as improve the testing experiences of developer and quality assurance teams, according to BrowserStack, which also unveiled the new Bug Capture tool allowing manual vulnerability testing. "By integrating Bug Capture's innovative approach to bug reporting into our platform, we're not just streamlining workflows; we're boosting development teams' productivity so they can focus more on building great products and less on managing the intricacies of the testing process," said BrowserStack co-founder and CEO Ritesh Arora.
